Demigods were the children of Gods and mortals. They possessed human souls and were vulnerable to old age and death like mortals; however, they could achieve feats not usually possible by most humans. The Romans were far more dedicated to the protection of the Roman state to consorting with mortals, and demigods born to the Roman gods were not common.
